What's the deal with Plastic?

Have you heard the new scare about plastic water bottles? They say we are being poisoned by the chemicals the the plastic is made from. I read an article the other day that extends this to anything plastic that we eat or serve food from. Like plastic dishes. They say the real danger is when we heat them. Such as warming food in the microwave in so called "microwave safe" containers. So what do you think? Maybe the makers of china and glassware are trying to incite mass histeria? Or maybe it is true and we are poisoning ourselves.

About Me

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was very active and played sports growing up. I spent twenty years in the US Army of which 6 years were with the Army's elite 82d Airborne Division. I was in excellent shape and great health. My highest weight ever was 155lbs. I was very active, I ran at least 3 miles everyday, could walk 12 miles with a 50 lb pack, and negotiate an obstacle course like walking down the street. I own several Beach Body products and I am currently doing the P90 program and will start the P90X program in mid June 2008.

I retired from the Army in September 2000. That's when things started going down hill for me. I stopped exercising and didn't care what I ate. I got lazy, fat, my cholesterol was in the 300's and my blood pressure was averaging 145/95 or higher, my weight reached an all time high of 188lbs and my pants size went from a 32 inch waist to a 38 inchs!. I was put on medication to lower my cholesterol and two more for my blood pressure. I even developed irritable bowl syndrome (IBS) and fatty liver disease. In September of 2007 I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma on my face. That's the really bad kind of skin cancer to put it in plain English. This really scarred me. I had to undergo a 10 hour surgical procedure to remove the tumor and several lymph nodes from my face and neck. I made a promise to God and myself that once I recovered from surgery I would get my health back in order. So in November I started eating correctly and going to the gym as physical therapy to heal from surgery.

Once my shoulder and neck were strong enough and I lost about 12 pounds I wanted to ramp up my exercise program. I tried running, going to the gym, and several exercise videos. But I was quickly getting bored and didn't really like exercising alone. Remember, I used to exercise in the Army everyday with 100 other people or more. That's when I remembered that I had some Beach Body products collecting dust somewhere. I started doing Fast 10 and logging into WOWY. But this still wasn't enough so after some product comparison's I ordered the P90 program. Wow that was one of the best things that I could have done. Working out with the DVD's is just like doing it with other people in the room with you. And logging into WOWY gave me more people to work out with. I was following the exercise and nutrition plan just as the program laid out and I quickly began to see the pounds and inches falling off. I have much more energy, I am eating well, I am currently down to 161lbs, my average blood pressure is 115/72, my last cholesterol test was 164, my liver has tested negative for any disease, all my IBS symptoms have disappeared and I am wearing a loose fitting 34 pants. This month I am going to see my doctor to begin the process of getting off all the medication that I'm taking.

I also got involved in the community message boards on the Team Beach Body Website and soon found myself giving advice to others. It is very rewarding to give advice to someone and then they come back and thank you because it works. This is when I decided to become a Beach Body Coach and really help people change there lives. I was in really bad shape but Beach Body helped me get things turned around and now I want to help you change your life forever.
